Paris is the most famous city in France, as well as the most famous in the world. It is the capital city of France, which means that it is where the government base is and where all the important decisions are made. It's the famous hometown of the Eiffel Tower, the most identifiable structure in the world, meaning that most people in the world know what the Eiffel Tower is. You will know about most of this stuff if you have ever watched the movie "Ratatouille".
The Eiffel Tower is easily the most iconic landmark in all of France, let alone Paris. It is also the most recognisable landmark in the entire world! (meaning that more people know what it is than any other landmark on the entire planet).
If you are going up the tower, your parents or guardians will probably have already booked tickets, and the Eiffel Tower is so popular that you have to wait MONTHS just to get a ticket! So if you already have tickets then your trip has taken a lot of time and planning! Even if you aren't going up the tower, you can easily see it from the top of most buildings in the city, since the Eiffel Tower is the tallest structure in the entire city.
A better place to see it from is the "Champ de Mars", the well known greenspace in front of the Eiffel Tower which is famous for having a good 'ol French picnic and just hanging out, and is located right in front of the tower, and also close to the Seine River (the river running through the centre of Paris)
